I<\/strong> went up the hill to the restaurant the other day.\u00a0 Hyw\u00e4t was not there, but the same little girl who waited on me the other evening was there.\u00a0 She was the one who asked, \u201cWhere is my husband?\u201d\u00a0 This time she asked me, \u201cWhere is my wife?\u00a0 Where is she?\u201d\u00a0 So, she got the husband\/wife part correct this time, but didn\u2019t catch the correct pronoun.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t going to try to explain it to her, because I had a hard enough time just ordering.<\/p>\n

One of the interesting things I\u2019ve discovered in life is how fast kids learn.\u00a0 Many of the children whose parents work overseas, have a local nanny who will teach them the local language.\u00a0 One lady I spoke with the other day, said when they lived in Germany, their nanny taught their 3 year old German.\u00a0 One day he kept saying something which neither parent knew.\u00a0 Finally they had to call the nanny at home and find out what he\u2019s saying.\u00a0 She said the little one was hungry.\u00a0 All this time the parents though he had to potty, so they kept putting him on his little commode when all he wanted was something to eat.\u00a0 He kept saying, \u201cNein, Mama!\u00a0 Nein!\u201d<\/p>\n

We visited with Hyw\u00e4t again the other night and she is still going strong with her medical learning stuff.\u00a0 She told Terese the more she studies the maternity part, the more she loves her mother.\u00a0 She also told Terese, that when she talks to me it\u2019s a form of training for her.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure how to take that.<\/p>\n

The monkeys have raised their ugly tails a few times lately, and I\u2019ve had a few battles with them.\u00a0 This morning I\u2019m off because it\u2019s MLK day.\u00a0 Enjoying the sun in the back yard, I heard branches snap and rattle causing the fat birds in the tree to flutter away in unison.\u00a0 I quickly got my slingshot and collection of paintballs, and proceeded with a short battle.\u00a0 I saw one critter in the tree, and drew back and hit the little sucker right in the butt!\u00a0 Again, I heard the familiar \u201cHoly Bananas!\u201d as it dropped down out of sight.\u00a0 So, as it stands now, the score is Dwaine 1<\/del> 2, Monkeys 31.<\/p>\n
