T<\/strong>he World is full of them.\u00a0 Here are a few from all over.<\/p>\n

This McDonald’s is on the famous Paulista Ave, about a half mile from our apartment.\u00a0 It is two stories high and it used to be a mansion.\u00a0 The following statement came from the epocanegocios.globo.com<\/span> website:<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>McDonald’s<\/span>\u00a0has just opened the doors of its thousandth store in Brazil, in an old mansion on\u00a0<\/span>Avenida Paulista<\/span>, in S\u00e3o Paulo.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>In the new space, the\u00a0fast food chain will offer space for shows, self-service totems, an automated treadmill that goes from the kitchen to the drive-thru, in addition to outdoor environments designed for customers to post photos on social networks.\u00a0 The restaurant, called \u201cM\u00e9qui 1000\u201d, will be open 24 hours a day and has the capacity to serve 220 people.<\/em>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When we walk to our friend’s restaurant, we pass by this work of graffiti.\u00a0 Someone had a lot of time on their hands.\u00a0 Works of art like this are common in Brazil.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And in the category of Idiotic<\/em>:\u00a0 It is a known fact, the TSA in Lubbock Texas is second to none.\u00a0 As I went through security, the agent called me back to take a look at something in my back-pack.\u00a0 Okay, no problem – I always play along with these games.\u00a0 The X-ray of the pack showed an image of a small gun.\u00a0 Again, no problem as I reached in and pulled out my apartment key-chain with a tiny replica of a gun.\u00a0 This is where Idiocy<\/em> raised its ugly head.\u00a0 The agent had to take it to his supervisor to see if it was okay for me to take it with me!\u00a0 Was he expecting that the tiny gun actually shoots tiny bullets?\u00a0 Was he thinking the tiny gun would be used to hijack the plane to Cuba?\u00a0 You decide.\u00a0 As you can tell, the dangerous key-chain is still in my possession.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Elephant Shrew is an interesting oddity that has nothing to do with Brazil.\u00a0 Analysis revealed this shrew is not classified as a true shrew, but is in fact more closely related to the elephant.\u00a0 Such a tiny creature that is related to the largest of land mammals.\u00a0 Below is a photo taken from Wilkipedia.\u00a0 It is by Joey Makalintal from Pennsylvania, USA – A Fascinating One, CC BY 2.0, https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=5817138<\/em><\/p>\n
